London Design Festival Press Conference

For the second year running, Camron is representing the London Design Festival. This year’s Festival (15 – 25 September) will be defined by a series of new and innovative installations and events; making it the most comprehensive and diverse Festival yet.

Camron organised a press conference at the Soho Hotel where a selection of key speakers announced their plans for the Festival.

Following an introduction by the Chairman of the London Design Festival, John Sorrell, Jude Kelly, Director of the South Bank Centre announced the new London Design Festival Hub. Other speakers included Deyan Sudjic, Tom Dixon and Ekow Eshun from the ICA.

Ben Evans, Director of the Festival announced a wide ranging selection of confirmed activities for 2007 including: Townhouse, a project by the Danish Embassy to promote Danish design, Tent London, a new design show at the Truman Brewery, Casa Decor, a showcase of the best of Latin and Spanish design at the Old Post office in Islington, a materials project involving one off sculptures by Zaha Hadid, Ron Arad, Amanda Levette and Thomas Heatherwick and a Digital Creativity Conference.

Over 120 journalists and key opinion formers attended the event.
