On 30th January, Camron organised the press preview of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile (18-23rd April 2007) for our client Cosmit. The event was held at the Blueprint Café, London.
Gareth Williams, Design Curator or the V&A presented the highlights of this year’s fair which include the Salone Satellite, the acclaimed platform for new talent, Euroluce, a lighting exhibition with over 500 companies exhibiting as well as a lighting installation in the centre of Milan, Salone Internazionale del Mobile, and the International Furnishings and Accessories Exhibition. There will also be an exhibition in the Palazzo Reale, entitled ‘Room with a View’ focusing on art and interiors over the past century.
Gareth Williams then chaired a design forum, entitled ‘Made in Italy’ with a panel including Werner Aisslinger, Zeev Aram, Mario Bellini and Fabio Novembre where the heritage and future of Italian design was discussed. This made for interesting debate, both among the panel members and with the audience!
Lunch followed and over 100 press and design industry people attended making it one of the most successful Salone launches to date.
