Project details

The first Flos store in the USA opened with a splash in New York City’s Soho neighborhood this month. The grand opening event – timed to fit with New York City’s ICFF – showcased the lighting collection of one of the best-known companies on the international design scene. Guests enjoyed refreshing prosecco while mingling with Flos CEO Piero Gandini and Flos designer Antonio Citterio. The highlight of the evening was the special installation of a giant Kelvin LED, with embedded video screens, showing the history of the company. The three key features of Flos – innovation, tradition and the desire to experiment – were fully in evidence within this new retail space. With the opening of this flagship store in New York, Flos has brought a new opportunity to the American market where creativity and advanced technology merge to present a new way of experiencing light. This was also the official debut of Camron’s New York office.
