Appetites and Emotions was a gloriously sensual contribution to the London Design Festival from the Flower Council of Holland. The Bouquet of Anger was particularly exciting – imagine receiving a bouquet of snipped stems and spiky leaves! And the tableau of ‘Appetites’ showed how a rich and rare selection of orchids, carnivorous plants mingled with cut blooms can create a dramatic and theatrical show which appeals to the senses. Set up specially in an shop in Thurloe Place, SW7, Double Dutch was a popular floral oasis for visitors to the Brompton Design District.
