THE DESIGN COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY

Design is a catalyst to change. We represent companies who understand the way in which great design defines their business, whether it is through collaborations with top designers, manufacturing products which demonstrate good design or environments which raise the bar through the clever and imaginative use of good design ideas. For example we work with Baccarat, who work with Philippe Starck, Kvadrat with the Bouroullec Brothers and Flos with Marcel Wanders. At Camron we understand the importance of the design and the way our clients embrace design concepts. We then make it our business to work with the media, to ensure that their customers and markets understand this connection.
We’re as comfortable working with high end interior designers such Martin Brudnizki and Francis Sultana as we are with Sainsbury’s, whose successful homeware range offers good design at accessible prices. At Camron we enjoy maintaining a mix of clients who work well together. Some of the highlights of 2011 have included the launch of Æsir’s Æ+Y, a luxury phone, bringing Rockwell’s Imagination Playground to London, introducing Flos lighting products to the UK and working closely with clients at the Salone in Milan, working with Haunch of Venison gallery and the London Design Festival. With offices in London and New York, we’re in a position to offer a bespoke public relations service with a truly global reach.

Our vision as an agency is to work with the best brands around the world who respect the power of design.

RETAIL

We pride ourselves on our retail expertise and experience and have worked with some of the most visionary retailers around the world. We had the privilege of supporting Vittorio Radice in the transformative years of Selfridges. We worked on the launch of Merci in Paris and the global launch for Villa Moda in the Middle East, working in conjunction with Sheik Majed Al-Sabah in Kuwait, Dubai and Damascus. For five years we worked with Sir Terence Conran on The Conran Shop while collaborating closely with Polly Dickens. In the US, we partnered with Target on their Christmas campaign with designer, Tord Boontje.

FOOD AND DRINK

Camron has been responsible for launching several high profile food and drink brands into the UK and US markets, including the bakeries Paul, from France, and Le Pain Quotidien, from Belgium. Our work for Selfridges Food Hall brought us into contact with some of the most innovative food producers around the world, while closer to home turf, we launched the multi award-winning East Beach Café in Littlehampton and Tea Palace in Notting Hill. Across the Atlantic, we were enlisted by Karlsson’s Gold Vodka to help discerning cocktail-lovers “rediscover” vodka through Karlsson’s unfiltered approach and meticulous craftsmanship. Jura Whiskey commissioned us to build a lifestyle around its brand, presenting its whiskey as a reflection of the island where it is made. We were commissioned by Veuve Clicquot to promote on an exhibition celebrating the brand at The Wapping Project. We have also worked closely with London’s prestigious Connaught Hotel, publicizing its Connaught and Coburg bars, and working directly with renowned Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze to increase her profile in the UK press.

ART AND EXHIBITIONS

As the worlds of art and design become closer, we are representing some of the most prestigious galleries and fairs in the world. This year we have worked with Haunch of Venison, as the gallery prepared to return to its original space, after a major re-design of their London headquarters by architect Annabelle Selldorf. We promoted the gallery’s ‘brand story’ and the directors as well as the run of exhibitions in the autumn. We have advised Christie’s, the auctioneers, and worked closely with their London and New York-based department heads, taking into account key sales, Basel and Frieze. We’ve also worked with Woop, a group of designers who regularly exhibit and sell limited edition prints. In terms of design exhibitions, we have been working with The London Design Festival for six years and also do the global communications for both Design Miami and Design Miami/Basel. Cosmit, organisers of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile has retained Camron as their UK advisors for six years.

DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE AND HOTELS

We represent many design innovators. For example, we work with Yves Béhar, who has continued to win awards for his ground-breaking product design in many fields ranging from technology with Jambox to sustainability and his highly regarded Mexican eyewear project for children. In terms of interior designers, the agency has had a long history of representing some of the best and currently handle Martin Brudnizki, Francis Sultana and Lee Broom. We now manage the communications for SPACE, an architectural and design practice based in Copenhagen, who created the interior for world-famous restaurant, Noma. With many hotel groups beginning to appreciate the influence of design and interiors, we are starting to work in closely on key projects for this growing sector. This includes our work with The Connaught, W Hotel Group, Soho House Miami with Martin Brudnizki and ACE Hotels.

HOME AND INTERIORS

For over fifteen years we have worked with many leading home and interior brands and have very strong relationships with the media who are London-based as well as those based in key regions in major UK cities, plus Wales, Scotland and Ireland. We are currently working with Graham & Brown, the leading wallpaper manufacturer in the UK, who have a global outreach. We have been working closely with Sainsbury’s on their home offer for the last three years. Most recently, we have taken on Bedeck, a bedding firm based in Ireland with a strong portfolio of products for this sector. We represent Flos lighting and Baroncelli, which makes bespoke pieces in Murano glass as well as Baccarat’s magnificent glassware. We also have a strong affinity with the world of fabric design. We’ve looked after Liberty fabrics for the past five years and we work closely with Kvadrat, the leading Danish fabric manufacturer. We helped design duo, Collier Campbell, to celebrate fifty years of exuberant fabric design and currently work with Chelsea Textiles, which produces exquisite hand-embroidered fabrics and period-style furniture.
