THE DESIGN COMMUNICATIONS AGENCY

Design is a catalyst to change. With offices in London, New York and San Francisco, as well as a global network built up over the last decade, Camron is now able to operate in Europe, US, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Asia, Russia and the Middle East. We represent companies who understand the way in which great design defines their businesses; whether it is through collaborations with top designers, manufacturing products which demonstrate good design, or environments which raise the bar through the clever and imaginative use of good design ideas. We represent clients in over 15 cities around the world and have colleagues fluent in French, German, Russian, Spanish and Italian. Increasingly, we are extending our reach into well designed cities and urban planning as architects and designers have an important say in how we live.

RETAIL

We pride ourselves on our retail expertise and experience, and have worked with some of the most visionary retailers around the world. We had the privilege of supporting Vittorio Radice in the transformative years of Selfridges. We worked on the launch of Merci in Paris and are now advising on the communications for The Exhibition Hall, a visionary new luxury retail concept in Kuwait by OMA. Liberty has been a long-standing client and in 2012, we specifically supported Liberty Fabrics. We have a long-standing brief with The Conran Shop and have most recently been delighted to support Jasper Conran as he transforms this iconic retail brand. We have also been the communications agency for Sainsbury’s General Merchandise division for the past four years, as their home and lifestyle offering becomes an increasingly important part of their business.

FOOD AND DRINK

Camron has been responsible for launching several high profile food and drink brands, including the UK debut of Paul, the bakery from France, and Le Pain Quotidien from Belgium. Our work for Selfridges Food Hall brought us into contact with some of the most innovative food producers around the world. In the UK, we launched the multi award-winning East Beach Café in Littlehampton and Tea Palace in Notting Hill. Across the Atlantic, we were enlisted by Karlsson’s Gold Vodka to help discerning cocktail-lovers “rediscover” vodka through Karlsson’s unfiltered approach and meticulous craftsmanship. Jura Whiskey commissioned us to build a lifestyle around its brand, presenting its whiskey as a reflection of the island where it is made. We have also worked closely with London’s prestigious Connaught Hotel, publicizing its Connaught and Coburg bars, and working directly with renowned Michelin-starred chef Hélène Darroze to raise her profile. Earlier this year, we also used the Connaught to launch Baccarat’s luxe new wine glass range, Chateau Baccarat. Currently, we work with Perrier-Jouet on their global art and design initiatives including the launch of a unique piece of art they commissioned to debut at Design Miami/ and another to be presented in London in March 2013. As an agency, we are always tracking new restaurants and bars, innovative chefs and the next foodie neighborhoods.

ART AND EXHIBITIONS

As the worlds of art and design become closer, we are representing some of the most prestigious galleries and fairs in the world. This year we have worked with Haunch of Venison, as the gallery prepared to return to its original space, after a major re-design of their London headquarters by architect Annabelle Selldorf. We promoted the gallery’s ‘brand story’ and the directors as well as the run of exhibitions in the autumn. We have advised Christie’s, the auctioneers, and worked closely with their London and New York-based department heads, taking into account key sales, Basel and Frieze. We’ve also worked with Woop, a group of designers who regularly exhibit and sell limited edition prints. In terms of design exhibitions, we have been working with The London Design Festival for six years and also do the global communications for both Design Miami and Design Miami/Basel. Cosmit, organisers of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile has retained Camron as their UK advisors for six years.

DESIGN, ARCHITECTURE AND HOTELS

We represent many design innovators and in particular work with Yves Béhar, who has continued to win awards for his ground-breaking product design in many fields ranging from technology with Jawbone’s Jambox and the Up Fitness Band to his new design for SodaStream. In terms of interior designers, the agency has had a long history of representing some of the best and currently handles Francis Sultana and Lee Broom. We have also represented David Rockwell and the Rockwell Group internationally for over six years and have launched his hotel and restaurant projects globally including W Paris, the Hotel Bel-Air in LA and the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. We are also working with yoo the property design company and are launching their projects all around the world. With many hotel groups beginning to appreciate the influence of design and interiors, we are working on number key projects for this growing sector. We launched Rough Luxe Hotels internationally, Ace Hotels in the USA and are currently working with Citizen M in London and yoo Hotels, a new hotel venture by John Hitchcox, the founder of yoo.

HOME AND INTERIORS

For nearly twenty years we have worked with many leading home and interior brands and now have an exceptionally strong relationship with both London based and regional media in the UK as well as a network of key journalists all over the world. We work with Graham & Brown, the leading wall decoration manufacturer in the UK and with Bedeck, a bedding firm based in Northern Ireland. For the last four years, we have been proud to represent Sainsbury’s General Merchandise offering, encompassing everything for the home from decorative accessories to furniture, as well key seasonal events. We also work closely with two Italian firms – Flos, based in Milan and one of the world’s leading lighting companies, and Baroncelli in London which makes bespoke pieces in Murano glass – as well as with Baccarat in the UK. Fabrics and textile design has always been close to our hearts – we have looked after Liberty fabrics for the past three years and this autumn we launched a new collection of furnishing fabrics for the company. WE also helped the design duo Collier Campbell to relaunch its brand last year and we also work closely with Kvadrat, the leading Danish fabric manufacturer. We have also represented a number of interior designers, supporting them at strategic points in their careers, from Martin Brudnizki to Fiona Barratt Campbell and this has given us an expertise and insight into the world of interior design.
