Trinket box, unknown

I have always loved trinket boxes as they are wonderful places to hide miniature treasures. This one was given to me by a friend who had been travelling through South Asia and is a particular favourite of mine. It is made of marble, which is quite a robust material but the sea green colours within the stone give the piece a rather ethereal quality, which I really enjoy.
