Anglepoise lamp, designed by George Carwardine

My love affair with lighting continues with my most recent vintage find, this red Anglepoise lamp. A British design classic that has stood the test of the time, I love its graceful balanced arm, ingenious joints and spring tension and its cheery pillar box red colour. What’s more I discovered on a very early cheerless Sunday morning in a muddy field in Kent so I feel a certain thrill on having chanced upon it every time I switch it on!
