We dashed over to the British History Museum to catch Moctezuma: Aztec Ruler. The exhibition featured numerous masterpieces of their culture including intricate gold rings and necklaces, paintings with mother of pearl detail portraying the conquest of the empire in graphic detail. We saw the beautiful gold and turquoise mask which was placed on the skulls of those sacrificed in honour of their gods. Archeological digs continue at the palace at Tenochtitlan, beneath modern day Mexico City and more will be revealed in due course.
