Launched in Kuwait as an alternative luxury fashion retailer, Villa Moda takes the best elements of luxury retail in the West and adds a distinctive, cosmopolitan ‘Gulf’ twist for its wealthy, well-travelled and fashion-savvy clientele. Offering some of the world’s most desirable brands in an exquisitely designed space, Villa Moda rapidly re-wrote the rules on world class luxury retail. Sheikh Majed Al-Sabah has since opened retail offerings in Dubai (2003), Qatar (2004), Damascus (2006) and a further two stores in Kuwait in (2007/2008). A retail space designed by Marcel Wanders was recently launched in Bahrain (Spring 2009) and the newest store opened within the DIFC Gate Village in Dubai (May 2009).
