BENSEN
Based in Vancouver, Bensen is a design and manufacturing group founded in 1981 by Niels Bendtsen. Along with his staff, Bendtsen designs and oversees production for an extensive line of modern, elegant wood and upholstery furniture. The company has successfully found a balance between affordability, aesthetics and quality, while maintaining a design philosophy that stresses the importance of simplicity and honesty. One of Niels Bendtsen’s earliest designs, the Ribbon Chair, is included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2010, the company launched “Bensen Italia” and has since begun production at a facility in Pordenone, Italy.
