100% NORWAY

Once again, Camron will be representing 100% Norway for the London Design Festival in September. Presenting the latest Norwegian furniture and interior products, 100% Norway 2010 will showcase a curated selection of the best new works from both established and up-and-coming Norwegian designers, and feature a number of the country’s leading manufacturers. Curated for the fifth year by Henrietta Thompson, acting senior editor at Wallpaper*, and co-curator Benedicte Sunde from the Norwegian Centre for Design and Architecture, the exhibition will include products already in production as well as prototypes. 100% Norway will be exhibited at 100% Design, Earls Court, Stand G40 from 23rd to 26th September 2010.

Founded in 2008 by Thomas Møller Jensen, Æsir brings contemporary design to the high-end mobile handset market. The Copenhagen-based collective will launch its debut edition in 2011, representing the first of a series of collaborations with some of the world’s most visionary designers. BEAUVALLON SUR MER

Opening in June 2010 in the south of France, the re-launch of the Beauvallon Sur Mer Beach Club is the first phase of a complete renovation of the famous Beauvallon Hotel, due to re-open in 2011 after two years of extensive renovation. The stunning Beach Club, set on a private sandy beach overlooking the bay of Saint-Tropez, will offer contemporary culture alongside authentic Provençal cuisine. Overseen by renowned Consultant Chef, Gui Gedda, traditional Provençal dishes will be served in the Mirèio restaurant and bar set within a restored rotunda with interiors by leading international designer, Carolyn Quartermaine. Adjacent to the Mirèio is the Ito Pavilion, designed by visionary Japanese architect Toyo Ito with Cecil Balmond of Arup.

 

BERNHARDT DESIGN

Bernhardt Design was founded in 1980 by the 120-year-old Bernhardt Furniture Company in the USA and continues to be a leader and innovator in furniture design and production. For the past 10 years, Creative Director Jerry Helling has assembled an extraordinary creative team that has positioned Bernhardt Design as one of the leading international design companies with a roster of talent that includes Ross Lovegrove, Yves Béhar, Arik Levy, Jaime Hayon and Patrick Jouin. Camron has worked with Bernhardt Design since 2008 and is currently coordinating the launch of the new furniture collection in Milan.

Bocci is a contemporary design and manufacturing company dedicated to designing and making objects which have meaning, value and worth. Founded in 2005 by entrepreneur Randy Bishop, who continues to own and operate the company along with its young Creative Director Omer Arbel, Bocci has become an atypical phenomenon within the contemporary design landscape. DESIGN MIAMI/

Design Miami/ is the world’s best known and most extensive forum for international design, representing a convergence of commerce and culture. Its annual shows in Basel, Switzerland (June) and Miami, USA (December) bring together the most influential designers, collectors, dealers, curators and critics from around the world. The fourth annual Design Miami/ Basel, sponsored by HSBC Private Bank, Swarovksi Crystal Palace and Audi, took place in Miami, Florida in December 2008. The talks programme was sponsored by FENDI and The Campana Brothers from Brazil were voted Designer of the Year.

EDC LONDON

EDC London, situated in Margaret Street, Fitzrovia, has just opened its doors to an eclectic mix of original and high quality contemporary and classic European furniture. At the heart of the collection is a “Limited Edition” series of lighting and furniture complemented by a carefully edited selection of home accessories. EDC London’s first collection was inspired by a vintage roll of handed-printed wallpaper featuring evocative travel and tourism posters of the Cote d’Azur. Iconic Italian company Flos was founded in 1962 with lighting designed by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and Tobia Scarpa. In 1988 Flos began working with Philippe Starck and collaborations followed with designers including Jasper Morrison, Konstantin Grcic, Marc Newson, Antonio Citterio, Marcel Wanders, Sebastian Wrong, Rodolfo Dordoni, Patricia Urquiola, Ron Gilad, and others. Piero Gandini, Flos’s President and CEO, continues the tradition of developing instantly recognisable lighting that combines great design with cutting-edge technology. Camron is supporting the launch of Flos’s first flagship store in the United States, which opened in May 2010 in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood.

Camron is working with innovative Italian design brand Kartell in the run up to the Milan Furniture Fair in April. Kartell is collaborating with the talented Japanese designer, Tokujin Yoshioka to create a stunning installation in the Milan flagship store. This ethereal backdrop has been designed to showcase ‘The Invisibles’, Yoshioka’s new range of transparent furniture using Kartell’s pioneering polycarbonate technology. In addition, this leading Italian brand will launch 15 brand new pieces from established designers such as Philippe Stark, Piero Lissoni and Patricia Urquiola at the Furniture Fair.

LEE BROOM

Camron is representing award-winning designer Lee Broom at this year’s London Design Festival. ‘One Light Only’ (OLO) is a new collection of striking pendant lights which visitors will be able to walk through. With a background in fashion, Broom was inspired to reference Art Deco jewelry and fashion photography from the late 1970’s to create the pieces. The installation will be on show at Broom’s brand new studio and gallery space in Rivington Street, Shoreditch from 21st – 26th September.

OMER ARBEL

Omer Arbel is a renowned designer who established OAO – Omer Arbel Office – in Vancouver in 2003. Arbel’s inventive exploration of the aesthetic as well as the technological has found form in a range of experimental furniture, lighting and architectural design. SPIRAL CELLARS

The Spiral Cellar is an ingenious idea for wine-lovers,
allowing you to keep your wine at home so it is easily accessible and maintained in the perfect conditions. The Spiral Cellars team will come to any property with a ground floor, dig a 2m wide circular hole
and then drop in a prefabricated circular cellar. The cellar can be sunk in the kitchen, sitting room, garage or conservatory. Once it’s completed, which takes only five days from start to finish, it will offer exactly the right conditions for keeping wine – the correct temperature, darkness and humidity.
